The Rector's Palace in Ston is one step closer to establishing a modern multimedia interpretive center of the Mediterranean heritage as part of the TAKE IT SLOW project.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<\/div>\n

Namely, the Dubrovnik-Neretva County and ARD d.o.o. Metkovi\u0107 have entered into a contract for the preparation of a conservation report for the establishment of an interpretive center in Ston.<\/h5>\n

The conservation report will include a cultural and historical analysis of the Rector's Palace in Ston, where a multidisciplinary, multimedia space will be established as part of the TAKE IT SLOW project. This space will showcase cultural heritage, typical products, traditional land cultivation and production, customs, way of life, and the destination itself through various forms of art, design, presentations, and events.<\/h5>\n
The goal of the interpretive center is to introduce guests to the rich natural and cultural heritage, and it will also serve as a starting point for further exploration of Pelje\u0161ac, the islands, and other parts of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County.<\/h5>\n

Over 464.529 euros has been secured for the renovation of the Rector's Palace, and as part of the project, an access road to the medieval complex of Pustinja Blaca on the island of Bra\u010d will be arranged, along with a virtual museum and creative center in Momjan, and an open-air museum in the vicinity of \u0160ibenik.<\/h5>\n
\"Smart and Slow Tourism Supporting Adriatic Heritage for Tomorrow\" (TAKE IT SLOW) is a strategic bilateral project of Croatia and Italy designed with the aim of managing and promoting the Adriatic as a green, smart, sustainable, and accessible cross-border tourist destination.<\/h5>\n
The project is led by the Dubrovnik-Neretva County, and it is implemented by the Regional Agency DUNEA. The project has a value of over 3.716.238,63 euros, with 85 percent of the funds coming from the European Regional Development Fund. The Dubrovnik-Neretva County has 862.698,25 euros at its disposal for this project.<\/h5>\n
